Yeats leads in a Goodwood win

Today one of the horses that is considered to be the greatest stayers of modern times is none other than Yeats. It was in the Goodwood Cup that Yeats had given a superb display, with his rider, Johnny Murtagh.
At looking at the race and its consequences, it was clearly seen that the seven year old trained horse of Aidan O’Brien, who had also won the race in 2006 was in great form. Though Tungsten Strike had managed to set an early pace for the race, Yeats had managed to comfortably put him behind him in a matter of a few seconds.
With this, the pair just pulled away from the other contenders with Yeats running for home in the last two furlongs. After this, he was in no trouble at all in getting his win. With this, Tungsten Strike had managed to remain second, while Sagara came in third.
Yeats had joined the race after completing the hat trick win in the Gold Cup last month during the Royal Ascot meeting. Murtagh proudly claimed that he is not only a great horse, but a great warrior too. He had managed to give the crowds what they had come to see in the match.
