Stars makes Oxx happy

John Oxx is indeed happy that his brilliant stable star Sea The Stars will be staying in Ireland after ending his beautiful racing career, as he is headed to the Aga Khan’s Gilltown Stud in County Kildare.
Oxx feels that his former star (that had won each of his six starts in Group One company), is now ready to move on to new pastures where he will stand for a fee of 85,000 pounds.
He adds that in Ireland, Sea the Stars will have many great mares to support him.
In the meanwhile, I heard on the grapevine that Rip Van Winkle’s preparation has gone well and he is ready to race the unbeaten Zenyatta in the Breeders’ Cup Classic in Santa Anita on Saturday. He looks to be possibly the right sort of contender that could bring an end to Zenyatta’s unbeaten 13 race stint.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien feels that his colt, which at present is on a hat-trick after the Sussex Stakes and QEII wins, is a great horse, full of strength and determination. He went on to say that ‘Rip’ is definitely a horse that gives 110 per cent and does not wilt at the end.
