Royal Ascot is around the corner once more and it is one of my favorite dates in the racing calendar. Royal Ascot has been around for many years and is still filling the racecourse with excitement and enthusiasm. This year, Royal Ascot is taking place on June 17-21 and is sure to attract many with people coming from all corners of the world.

Royal Ascot of course holds it’s famous “Ladies Day” on the Thursday of each year. Women everywhere come here for the excitement and to flash off only the most extravagant hats money can buy. Even those not into racing go for the gala of this day… and to wear their “hats” of course. Around 10% of the racegoers are normally from the UK and the rest…. from who knows where!

The energy and spirit that flows through the this racecourse is one you will remember for years to come. This is an absolute must see event and the racers and the jockey’s will be waiting for your encouragement!

Horse Racing Fact of the Day: Yesterday’s question was: Where is the Location of the Fannie Bay Racetrack? Answer- Darwin (Backwaters of Australia)

Today’s Question- Where did harness racing come from?

Stay tuned tomorrow for the answer.

Until then,

Happy Racing….Cliff
