Overseas mission for Moraitis blueblood

Nick Moraitis, a successful owner from Australia has broken new ground on Sunday with his first runner running outside Australia. The runner is none other than the four year old Prince Rexy, the son of Australia’s expensive stallion, Redoute’s Choice. He will be the sire’s first northern hemisphere runner with his contest in the 8 furlong race in the Californian track of Del Mar.
The manager of Moraitis’s team of gallopers and broodmares, David Baxter says that Prince Rexy was sent to California three months back to Neil Drysdale’s stable. Let me remind you that Neil Drysdales was the trainer who had won his memorable Kentucky Derby with Fusaichi Pegasus in 2000.
Baxter says that they had some difficulties with Prince Rexy immediately after the win which had led him out of work during pre-training in Wellington. He had then decided that it would be beneficial to send Prince Rexy to the United States and thus contacted Adam Sangster for advice on the suitable trainer for Prince Rexy.
This was when Adam Sangster had strongly suggested Drysdale. And with discussions with Nick, they had decided that it was worth taking a gamble in sending Prince Rexy overseas.
