O’Brien leads Derby entries

The remaining nine entries of the 20 scheduled for the Investec Derby are all attributed to Aidan O’Brien. All of the entries have their own personal achievements which were taken into consideration while choosing them for the Derby.
Aidan O’Brien’s Ballydoyle team consists of the Lingfield Derby Trial winner, Age of Aquarius, the current Investec Derby favorite Fame And Glory and the first two winners of the Chester Vase Golden Sword, Malibu Bay and the brilliantly named Rip Van Winkle. Then you have Sea The Stars, Gan Amhras, Fergus McIver and Toraidhe.
O’Brien is ecstatic about all his entries for the Derby, but I heard on the grapevine that it still has not been decided if Yeats will be bidding for a fourth Gold Cup at Ascot. This was mainly because he looked nothing like himself when he was beaten in the Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan last month.
He said that they are indeed privileged to have a horse like Yeats, especially with him winning consecutive Gold Cups. He did confess that Yeats had a day out at Navan with the race being a little slow. However, he expects to get Yeats back at Ascot, and see how he responds to the race.
