Lios; the surprise contender at Cheltenham

There will be a new contender for the Weatherbys Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in the form of Willie Mullin’s Lios A Choill. He had easily won the Rockview (Q.R.)INH Flat Race at Fairyhouse with Mullins’s son Patrick as jockey.
Mullins confirms that Lios will be heading for Cheltenham as he was good at his work, and had done just what they wanted him to do. Moreover, he reminds us that Lios is a beautiful bred with top-class pedigree.
In addition to this, I have found out that Lucy Wadham’s United is also in top form, and is ready for her challenge in the David Nicholson Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham. United is just behind the long time favorite Whiteoak in popularity betting for the event, and had come in fourth in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle last year.
Having won a contest at Ascot last month and a handicap hurdle at Haydock, Wadham then decided to forfeit the National Spirit Hurdle at Fontwell this Sunday. Moreover, Wadham states that United is in great form for running at the mares’ race at Cheltenham.
And Wadham doesn’t really have many other options for Cheltenham, so she is happy with the spirit and form of United to run a good race.
