Lingfield finds a star in Kirsty

Kirsty Milczarek is now only the fifth female jockey to join the elite band at Lingfield. She has joined the elite clan of Alex Greaves, Lisa Jones, Emma O’Gorman and Hayley
Turner. Of the four, only Hayley Turner makes a serious impression in riding.
Milcarek had reached this place without taking anything for granted while looking for her 95th career winning spell. It was her productive spell on the all-weather at the beginning of the year that helped lay the foundations for the Turf season. However on the polytrack, I found that she had managed to steer the Nick Littmoden trained Ruby Tallulah to victory in the Owl Nursery Handicap Stakes from Red Cell.
Milcarek says that it is basically not harder for women to win, when compared to lads. However it was mainly with hard work and the zeal to keep doing her best that kept her going to a victory.
She also said that she had ridden 58 winners in the year, with some healthy competition between herself and Hayley. However Littmoden thinks that even Ruby Tallulah can fare better where though she was lucky on her last two runs, she had deserved a win the last time.
