Lillie, Murtagh’s favorite

According to Johnny Murtagh, Lillie Langtry is considered to be the best of Ballydoyle’s two year old fillies and she is the favorite for the Breeder’s Cup Juvenile Fillies’ Turf to be run on Friday night at Santa Anita.

The daughter of Danehill Dancer has been trimmed to favourite by all of the main British bookmakers, as plenty of cash started coming her way. Moreover, Murtagh is sure that she will fare much better than her stable mate Heart Shaped, who had a close race last year.

I also heard that Murtagh is confident that Lillie will not get beaten in the Moyglare after closely monitoring her performance in Newmarket. He stated that their team this year is a strong one and that he has high hopes of success.

In the meantime, the Godolphin team will be returning to their Dubai base for the winter, in a blaze of glory given their recent results. This has seen an amazing run of more than 20 winners attributed to Saeed bin Suroor in the past 14 days, and he has a chance of adding to this tally at both Southwell and Wolverhampton.
