The latest I heard on the grapevine is that Alan King is thinking of letting Manyriverstocross race against Starluck at the Tune Into Timeform Radio Hurdle at Haydock on November 21st.

With an increased rating of 97 after his performance on the Flat, the impressive display at Chepstow earlier this week provided the perfect start to the four year old’s career. King is also thinking of racing his horse at the Robert Giles Agencies Introductory Hurdle at Ascot  but definitely not the Cheltenham’s Paddy Power meeting.

In overseas racing news, Zenyatta created history after becoming the first mare to win the Breeder’s Cup Classic at Santa Anita on Saturday night. As her previous victories were all against mares, she was made to settle at the rear of the field by her regular jockey Mike Smith.

With still half a mile to run in the race the impressive mare was still 15 lengths off the pace, which was set by Godolphin’s Regal Ransom. Though Johnny Murtagh tried his best to get the fancied Rip Van Winkle to the front of the competitive field, he was no match once Zenyatta got into her stride.
