Posted by Cliff at Jun 5th, 2008 in Horse Racing Basics
We all enjoy the races. However if you are a beginner it can seem pretty overwhelming. Learning the fundamentals of how the course is set-up and of course the best places to sit during the race is optimal. Today we are going to talk about the different ways one can watch and enjoy our racing.
There are generally three enclosures in the average race course. Each enclosure has it own benefits and drawbacks we want you to be prepared and know what to expect. Here are the three enclosures at a glance.
Premium Enclosures- The premium enclosure is the most expensive of course. It is great if you are a fanatic, an occasional fan, or at special events. These enclosures range from 40 to 60 pounds a seat and if you are a daily viewer the 20s and 30s add up! The benefits are better food, better view, more fun?
We will let you be the judge of that!
The Grandstand Enclosures- These enclosures are typically filled. They are at medium prices ranging from an average of 20 to 40 pounds. They have places to eat and great viewing on the race course.
The Course Enclosures- These are generally about 10 pounds a ticket. They do have food and drink however many bring their own!
Making sure you have an adequate seat at the races is an important part of your enjoyment. After all if you are not happy you won’t enjoy the race…
