Around the corner and down the stretch they go as they prepare for the Golden Jubilee Stakes. Trainer Terry Mills is looking for the win this year in the Group one Golden Jubilee Stakes to be held on June 21st at Royal Ascot. The race is approximately 6 furlongs and only admits thoroughbreds.

The Golden Jubilee Stakes has been a tradition for centuries. The remembered race of 2006 when trainer Tim Pitt and Jockey John Egan took the win in 1:08.12 was the best time since 1987, and that may prove hard to beat the way the going is looking for next week.

So I doubt if record breaking times could be ahead for this year’s Golden Jubilee stakes, but Mills is quitely confident of a win. Can he outrace the 17 hopefuls? Only time will tell…
