Geordieland fit for Doncaster Cup

According to Jamie Osborne, his horse Geordieland is all fit and rearing to run in next month’s Doncaster Cup. Geordieland could not participate at last week’s Lonsdale Cup at York because of some problems with his training.
Osborne said that they really pitied Geordieland missing York as though Askar Tau had won the race magnificently; the race was a bit substandard by York’s standards. It was because Osborne and the trainers had missed out on some training with Geordieland that they thought it better for him try his luck for Doncaster instead of rushing things at the York.
However this absence does not appear to have hampered him, as the Osborne and the rest of the camp feel that Geordieland could be better lightly raced, with gaps between races being better for him. Everyone including me is interested to see how he will perform at his next meet. If things work out as planned at Doncaster, the next race for Geordieland will be the Breeder’s Cup, now that’ll be very interesting.
And of course I probably do not need to remind you that Geordieland’s last outing was him running his third successive Gold Cup at Royal Ascot, where Yeats accomplished the feat of being the first horse to win the coveted prize four times.
