Fairy hopes to create magic at Oaks

With her success in the Epsom equivalent last month, Snow Fairy is expecting another victory in the Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh on July 18th. She hopes to follow in the footsteps of Ouija Board and Lailani who claimed the double in 2004 and 2001 respectively.
Dunlop stated that she was in good form and looks much stronger after Epsom. He feels that the long straight at the Curragh would be beneficial to her. In the meantime, I also watched as Memory continued with her unbeaten record after stepping up to Group Two company in the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Cherry Hinton Stakes at Newmarket.
The daughter of Danehill Dancer managed to overcome a slow start with a victory at her debut Goodwood race and recently in the Albany Stake at Royal Ascot. While she has a Group One engagement in the Moyglare Stud Stakes at Curragh scheduled next month, I heard she will first face six rivals in the Headquarters’ six furlong dash.
Hunt for Harbinger’s partner
With jockey Ryan Moore confirmed to ride on possible superstar-to-be Workforce, I hear that Sir Michael Stoute is now looking for a top-class rider to partner Harbinger, the Royal Ascot winner in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
Likeable candidates for the job are Olivier Peslier, Frankie Dettorie, Richard Hughes and former stable jockey Kieron Fallon. Stoute mentioned that Harbinger’s progress has been great so far with wins in all three starts of the year; however he doesn’t know if he can progress any further.
