Dazzling Diamond sparkles in victory

After his unbeaten record sixth win at the Blue Square Challow Novices’ Hurdle at Newbury, Diamond Harry looks to be the next most exciting British prospect. Under the considerate handling of trainer Nick Williams, this five year old managed to beat Grade One by six lengths.
Diamond Harry just had to amble inside the rail of the proceedings to charter this win. And though he had steadied his hurdles regularly, he was never in trouble. Williams said that though he had taken some time to settle down, he now looks like a proper horse.
With this win, Diamond Harry is now the favorite with Coral for the Ballymore Properties Novices’ Hurdle. I have also heard that he may have a run at Cheltenham on January 24th.
On the contrary, all you horse racing enthusiasts out there should be disappointed to hear that today’s (Tuesday) meeting at Haydock stands abandoned because of the frozen course. This decision was declared by the officials after carrying out an inspection of the course yesterday, at 3 pm. The frozen course is a consequence of Sunday night’s frost.
The clerk of the course, Kirkland Tellwrigh stated that as there was frost under the sheets, and that there is another frost slotted for tonight, continuing with the race will only be a waste of time for everyone.
