Cracked collarbone makes Fehily take a break

A fall at Fontwell spells a minimum of a week on the sidelines for Noel Fehily as the fall lead to a cracked collarbone. Fehily had his injury x-rayed in Bristol and he says that he did not know how long he would be out of action. However a minimum of a week to ten days’ rest is definitely in the air for Fehily.
As he had been booked for five rides at today’s Boxing Day meeting at Kempton, other jockeys have already been drafted to replace him for the race. And I find it interesting to hear that one of these jockeys is none other than Barry Geraghty who will be riding Air Force One in today’s Stan James King George VI Chase.
It was after discussions with the horse’s owner, Brian Walsh, Charlie Mann had decided on replacing Fehily with Barry, a top class jockey. However according to Mann, it was just bad luck for Fehily and that he would anytime prefer having Fehily on his horses than anyone else.
Besides these changes, there have been no other changes slotted for the Boxing Day cards. So racing enthusiasts will enjoy a day of action on Boxing Day with all the 11 meetings to go ahead as scheduled.
