The thrilling victory in the Hampton Court Stakes where Afsare managed to edge out Qadrille was Kieren Fallon’s first Royal Ascot win since 2006. Though Quadrille looked comfortable for much of the race, Afsare’s determination ate away at Quadrille’s advantage, meaning that Afsare recorded an impressive win by a short head.

Harry Findlay is crestfallen with the six months’ ban imposed on him for laying his own horse, Gullible Gordon, on two occasions.
